MX™ Waterproof Wound Dressing 10cm x 12cm 40 Pack - Tattoo After care
Your Tattoo’s New Best Friend
MX™ Waterproof Wound Dressings (10cm x 12cm, 40 Pack) support clean, modern tattoo aftercare. The clear film forms a second-skin style barrier over fresh work and helps protect against water exposure, friction, and external contamination while the skin recovers.
Why MX™ dressings suit fresh tattoos
- Waterproof hold: Helps keep the area protected during showers and daily activity.
- Sterile and individually packed: Clean application with single-use packaging for each dressing.
- Breathable film: Supports balanced moisture management during early healing.
- Transparent design: Check the area without lifting the dressing.
- Flexible comfort: Conforms to body movement, including curved areas.
How to use
- Wash hands and prepare a clean surface.
- Gently clean the tattooed area, then let the skin dry fully.
- Apply the dressing without stretching the film. Smooth from the centre outward to reduce air bubbles.
- Wear time: follow your tattoo artist’s aftercare plan. Replace sooner if edges lift, fluid collects excessively, or the dressing becomes compromised.
- To remove, lift an edge and peel back slowly along the skin, not upward. Clean the area again before reapplying a fresh dressing if needed.

Visible Q&A
Q: How long do I leave the first dressing on?
Follow your artist’s instructions. Replace earlier if the seal fails, the dressing wrinkles heavily, or fluid build-up becomes excessive.
Q: Is this suitable for sensitive skin?
The dressings are hypoallergenic and sterile. Stop use if irritation occurs and follow your studio’s aftercare guidance.
Q: Is the dressing waterproof?
Yes. The film supports water exposure during normal hygiene while the adhesive remains sealed.
Q: Do I need to reapply after removal?
Reapply only if your artist’s plan requires continued coverage and the skin condition supports it.
Q: What areas work best with 10cm x 12cm?
Great for small to medium pieces and for patch coverage on larger work using multiple dressings with overlap as needed.
